We create Corporate headshots that elevate business professionals into industry leaders

We are a BBBEE level 1 certified headshots studio that specialises in making you and your people look good online.

What are headshots for?

Answer: It’s for business. No one is getting headshots for fun or for memorabilia. It’s not for Tinder dating and it’s definitely not to be used on a funeral plaque.

It’s strictly for business. They are simply there to show your client or potential employer that you are a capable individual in whom they can put their utmost trust in you.

So what happens when a potential client or employer looks at your headshot? Are they looking if you have a nice smile? Are they looking if you have nice clothes?

Answer: Not at all.

They are looking for AUTHENTICITY. They are looking for CONFIDENCE. And most importantly, they are looking for TRUST.

So this is what we do:

We use a unique tool to achieve all three goals. It’s not our fancy cameras or our expensive studio equipment (although that helps).

This tool is called BODY LANGUAGE.

It does not matter how good the lighting is, or how good your suit looks, if your body language is off, it will unconsciously show the viewer the discomfort you were experiencing.

What’s the big deal? Maybe nothing. But maybe, if you don’t look confident in your headshot your client won’t feel confident in you.

Here’s the catch: it’s inevitable. Your body cannot lie.

But do not worry, we see this human trait in every person and we know how to overcome it and will guide you through it so that you get the most confident, most trusting, and most authentic headshots for you and your people.

The psychology behind having your photo taken explained

corporate headshot and corporate portraits

We understand that having your corporate headshots taken can be a nerve-wracking experience, even for powerful CEOs who are seemingly confident at everything they do. When people feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, they tend to resort to a blocking or a pacifying gesture for comfort.

Blocking gestures, such as crossing your arms in front of you, occur when we put something between ourselves and an uncomfortable situation (the camera).

On the other hand, pacifying gestures, like awkwardly holding your fingers, lip pressing, or clenching your jaw, are other common things people do to cope with discomfort.

But don't worry, this is all completely normal and human. We recognize these behaviors and use our expertise to guide you through your photo session, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. We understand that just telling you to stand and smile won't cut it if we want to capture the best, most authentic version of you.

So trust us to help you relax, find your most confident self, and capture images that truly reflect who you are.

Absa Group

“Somehow Wesley has the ability to capture a personality in a photo. It’s difficult to explain, but it’s more than just a photo of you - It’s the essence of you. Our entire group shared the same sentiment - we did not know that we can look so good.”

Headshot compositions

We offer three styles of headshots, each with its own purpose. See below for the different ways that speak to your needs.

  • Head and shoulder portrait

  • Standing half-length portrait

  • Seated portrait

  • Seated table portrait

  • Head and shoulder corporate headshot portrait

    Head and Shoulder

Focusing solely on the face, a head and shoulders portrait shows your personality and competence. Your personality will be shown by how genuine your expression looks. Your competence will be shown in how relaxed you look, in what you wear and how neatly you are presented.

  • Standing half length white backdrop portrait

    Standing half-length

As with head and shoulders, your face expresses your personality but with a half-length portrait, the viewer will get to judge your body language. Is it engaging or is it slouchy and lazy? Is there calmness or is there tension?

  • Lifestyle relaxed sitting portrait with grey backdrop

    Lifestyle sitting portrait

A sitting portrait puts all shields down. Using hands and legs to assist with positive body language. A sitting portrait gives the viewer a better understanding of who you are with dynamic aspects of your professional character. It shows movement, active engagement and connection.

  • Table seated

The most natural of them all. The seated table portrait offers a more realistic body composition. It also helps with feeling more relaxed, giving your hands something to do.

I was most impressed and inspired by Wesley’s professionalism and the manner in which his customer service interface embraces new-age communications technology.  The studio was clean and spacious, with a great mood and vibe.  I highly recommend.
